Festivals in San Miguel de Allende
San Miguel de Allende has so many festivals and celebrations; you begin to think that everyday is a party. Most of the celebrations in Mexico are a fusion pre-Hispanic traditions and Catholic beliefs. They and are in honor of either a Saint or an historical event.
Each city, pueblo or state has its own patron saints. They recognize them with special fiesta days. The streets are decorated with banners and flags. There are parades, dances, religious services and feasts.
There are many cultural events, such as International film, art, music, food and wine festivals. Be sure and plan your vacation around one of these events. It is a great first hand opportunity, to sample the rich, diverse Mexican culture.
