Local Bus Service Since this is considered a short trip there are no luxury buses that go from Leon to San Miguel. But there is local bus service available. Check at the airport for schedules.

Ground Transportation from Mexico City Airport

· Aeroplus

Bus service to Queretaro. It is approximately three hours from Mexico City to Queretaro. Aeroplus, originates from the airport in Mexico City. It is approximately $22 USD per person, one way. You can buy a ticket outside terminal D and then pick up the bus at the same terminal. They also have an office in the center of San Miguel. It’s around the corner from the Jardín, at Calle Sollano # 11. (415) 152-5043. Office hours are from 9am to 3:45pm Monday through Saturday, and Sunday from 9am to 2pm.Here, they sell tickets for AeroPlus buses from Querétaro to the Mexico City airport, as well as for all other buses operated by Primera Plus or Servicios Coordinados. The buses start running from Mexico City around 8:30 AM and run every hour until 9:00 PM. When you get to Queretaro, you will arrive in Terminal “A”. Go out the door, turn right and walk to Terminal B. Buses to San Miguel leave every 20 minutes. The bus services alternate between, Herradura de Plata and Flecha Amarilla. The cost is around $4 USD. It is about one hour to San Miguel de Allende.

Ground Transportation from Queretaro Airport to San Miguel

Bus Service Take a taxi from the airport to the bus terminal. Local buses leave for San Miguel about every 20 minutes during the day, and every 1-2 hours in the evenings. The trip takes about one hour. Local Bus Carriers are Satelite, Flecha Amarilla, and Herradura de Plata.

Buses going to Mexico City and all other outlying destinations, leave from the Main Bus Terminal in San Miguel located 1 ½ miles west of the town center on Calzada de la Estasion (which is an extension of Calle Canal).
** Note** This is not the local city bus terminal.

**Note-Bus service in Mexico is not anything like bus service the Untied States. It is much better! In Mexico long distance bus service is very luxurious. They have reclining seats, movies, food and drinks, clean bathrooms.
